The All-On-4 concept is an economical alternative to other full mouth implant options. In this concept, a full mouth prosthesis or fixed bridge is supported by 4 implants placed in the jawbone. The All-on-4 concept also allows dentists and patients to avoid advanced implant procedures such as sinus floor lift, inferior alveolar nerve lateralisation and bone expansion osteotomy.

Prosthetic options for the All On 4 implant concept include acrylic prosthesis and bridge. Acrylic prostheses on implants are much more economical than bridges, but they are not as comfortable, robust, hygienic and aesthetic as before. At Europe Dental Clinics Turkey, we offer acrylic dentures as a temporary solution at no extra cost to our patients for the waiting period.

Although porcelain-Zirconia crowns are very aesthetic, they are not the best option for All On 4 implants due to the long gaps between the implants. All On 6 or All On 8 dental implants will be more suitable for Zirconia - Porcelain bridges.

HOW ARE THEY MADE?

The All-On-4 system on a single jaw consists of 4 dental implants, 4 Multi-Unit implant abutments and a fixed prosthesis attached to the implants with screws. Our dentists place two dental implants in the canine area and 2 dental implants in the second premolar area to support the one-piece fixed prosthesis.

TREATMENT TIMES

ACRYLIC PROSTHESIS SUPPORTED BY ALL-ON-4 IMPLANTS

Implants with All-On-4 Prosthesis can be completed within 24 hours. We provide the prosthesis within 24 hours after surgery. We offer these prostheses as a temporary solution for all our oral patients to wear during the recovery period at no extra charge.

Day 1: During the surgery, 4 implants are placed and impressions are taken to be sent to the dental laboratory. The total procedure takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the experience of the dentist and the need for further implant procedures.

Day 2: The next morning your dentures will be ready. Once we attach them to your dental implants, you are ready to go.

Important: After a dental implant procedure, we expect some bone to be removed from the surgical site. Therefore, a rebase appointment for the denture will be required after the healing period is complete.

PORCELAIN-METAL BRIDGE SUPPORTED BY ALL-ON-4 IMPLANTS

We ideally complete All On 4 dental implants with porcelain-metal bridges in 2 visits. However, it is also possible to complete the procedure in a single 10-day visit. The following appointment sequence is for the traditional technique of 2 visits.

Visit 1: At the first appointment, our dentists place the implants and take impressions that will be transferred to the dental laboratory for the temporary prosthesis. The day after the surgery, we fix the temporary dentures to your implants. We advise our patients to stay an extra day for their final check-up before returning home.

Visit 2: After a 3-month healing period, the second visit for the permanent bridge work begins. This visit lasts 5 or 6 days and does not include any surgical procedure. Our dentists will make any necessary adjustments, such as replacing abutments or multiple units with more suitable ones. On the first day, your dentist will take impressions of your teeth and transfer them to our in-house dental laboratory. After that, you will have 3 appointments within 4 days with your dentist to check the suitability and aesthetics of the bridge at different stages of preparation.

HOW IS ORAL HYGIENE ENSURED WITH ALL 4 TOOTH IMPLANTS?

Unlike natural teeth, there are no gaps between each tooth in all on 4 supported prostheses. In addition, depending on the design of the prosthesis, it may be difficult to reach the areas under the prosthesis/bridge with a toothbrush. Therefore, maintaining oral hygiene for All On 4-supported dentures and bridges can be a bit challenging. Gum health is very important for the life expectancy of dental implants. Since the toothbrush is not very effective in cleaning the areas under All On 4 supported prostheses, we recommend our patients to use water floss. There are various brands on the market with special tips designed for implant-supported bridges and prostheses. We have experienced that using flossing devices greatly increases the survival of the implant.

Ideally, you should visit your dentist once a year to clean the All On Four implants and check that everything is in order. We understand that when you have your implants in a different country, it is not practical for you to travel there every month for follow-up appointments. In this case, flossing under bridges and dentures with water will be very helpful in cleaning under the dentures.
